Afshan qualified as a solicitor in 2012 and joined the criminal litigation team at Saunders Solicitors in January 2019.
Afshan has extensive experience of working within Criminal Law and has experience in prison law as well. She has previously worked within the serious fraud office and the bar standards board.
Afshan deals with all criminal matters through their life at the police station, the magistrates court, Youth court and the crown court. Afshan has vast experience of dealing with criminal cases from all spectrums including road traffic offences, assaults, and theft, up to more serious matters dealt within the including drug offences, robbery, fraud and murder.
Whilst working in criminal litigation, Afshan has had particular experience of working with vulnerable people including young people or those with mental health concerns.
Her past experience of working at the Bar Standards Board also provides her with a unique ability to deal with professionals who find themselves in trouble with their regulator.
Afshan is amiable and able to build relationships with clients easily, whilst her calming demeanour helps her put clients at their ease when faced with difficult situations. She is extremely diligent when it comes to working closely with clients to ensure they are well informed at every stage of the matter, providing clear coherent advice. She is passionate about securing the best outcomes for each and every one of her clients.
